Carlos Correa Out Again For Twins
Carlos Correa is out of the starting lineup for the second straight game on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox. Kyle Farmer will start at the 6 and bat in the eight-hole against White Sox right-hander Jose Urena. Correa has notably been battling plantar fasciitis in his foot for most of the second half of the season and is hitting just .226 (14-for-62) with two home runs, two doubles, six RBI, 16 strikeouts and nine runs scored in 16 starts since Aug. 26. The 28-year-old Puerto Rican has 18 home runs and 63 RBI in 131 games in his second year with the Twins, but he's also hitting a weak .229 (115-for-503) on the year after batting .291 in 136 games for Minnesota in 2022.
