Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson has signed a two-year extension, inking a deal that is worth $2.9 million in total. The Flyers now have the young netminder locked up through the 2025-26 campaign. Ersson made his NHL debut last season, posting a 6-3-0 record with a 3.07 goals-against average, a .899 save percentage, and one shutout. He became only the 12th netminder in NHL history to win six of his first seven career starts. The 23-year-old Swede is off to a great start in the NHL, but he looks set to get most of his action in the AHL again in 2023-24, with the Flyers having added Cal Petersen next to Carter Hart and Felix Sandstrom. Last season, Ersson enjoyed a 24-17-1 campaign in the minors with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.--Taavi PailkRead More News
