Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups: Trevor Story, Gregory Santos, Randal Grichuk, Logan Allen, more

Trevor Story - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 20 (2023). Free agent hitters and pitchers to add include Trevor Story, Gregory Santos, Logan Allen, Randal Grichuck, and Carlos Hernandez.

Welcome RotoBallers to our mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings list for Week 20 - July 31 through August 6 to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. The MLB trade deadline is over, and we have seen significant roster shakeups, such as Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Jordan Montgomery, Amed Rosario, Jake Burger, Paul Sewald, Lucas Giolito, Randal Grichuk, C.J. Cron, Jordan Hicks, Scott Barlow, Aaron Civale, Jack Flaherty, Lance Lynn, David Robertson, Michael Lorenzen, and Josh Bell all switching uniforms.

The Guardians called up top prospect Brayan Rocchio on Wednesday. Rocchio started at third base and batted sixth in his MLB debut on Wednesday. He went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored during his big league debut. Top prospects such as Kyle Manzardo, Colt Keith, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Parker Meadows, Masyn Winn, and Ronny Mauricio patiently await the call to the big leagues.

Some notable recent performances include Los Angeles outfielder Randal Grichuk, who is slashing .375/.405/.700, four home runs, five RBI, seven runs, and a stolen base over his last 10 games. He should see an everyday role for the Angels while Mike Trout (wrist) remains sidelined. The Boston Red Sox are expected to activate Trevor Story (elbow) from the 60-day injured list soon, but it may not be until early next week.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Chicago White Sox right-hander Liam Hendriks (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery Wednesday and is out for the season. Gregory Santos is expected to be the new White Sox closer, while Hendriks is sidelined. Santos converted a save on July 28 and owns a 2.63 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over 51 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers searching for saves should look to add Santos in all league formats.

This week's waiver wire rankings feature players such as Trevor Story, Gregory Santos, Randal Grichuk, Carlos Hernandez, Orlando Arcia, Sal Frelick, Wilmer Flores, Zack Gelof, Logan Allen, Jake Burger, Josh Bell, Mike Tauchman, Spencer Torkelson, Justin Lawrence, rank among others. We're here, as always, to help you stay on top of the latest waiver wire options, especially in leagues that allow for daily moves. Prospects that are making impacts continue to be called up, so you'll need to be informed. Be sure to stay on top of our weekly waiver wire rankings and turn on MLB news alerts to stay ahead of the curve. Once you're done here, check out our fantasy baseball prospects articles for the latest names to stash and pick up.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

For anyone who isn't familiar, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free agent adds off waivers.

In addition to that, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver wire moves or multiple waiver wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.

Below you will see our list of waiver wire pickups in our prioritized order. There should be waiver wire recommendations here for all sorts of league sizes, along with the position(s) for the player and the rostered percentages.
