WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (6/11/23): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Y'all ready for this? Every WNBA team is in action on Sunday, which I'm 90% sure is the first time this season that's happened. But don't fact-check me on that. The big game of the day is probably the Sky/Aces at 3:00 p.m., a game that should give us a better idea of how good the Sky are this season.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, as well as adding a little betting advice as well.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 6/11/2023 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Shakira Austin (Washington Mystics)  - @ SEA - DK: $9,600, FD: $6,800

Elena Delle Donne is questionable for today's game. If she misses it, Austin might be my favorite play of this whole slate. Even if EDD plays, I'm high on the second-year forward today.

Austin's had a strong start to the season, averaging 13.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, which includes an ongoing streak of four straight double-doubles. On Sunday, she faces a Storm team that's ripe for the picking, as it's allowed the third-most points, third-most rebounds, and second-most blocks per game this season. This is setting up to be a good one for Austin -- and that's without considering a bump in volume if the Mystics hold Delle Donne out.

Brionna Jones (Connecticut Sun) - @ ATL - DK: $9,500, FD: $7,400

The Dream have a few issues with their frontcourt construction. There's talent there, but there really isn't a player who can stop a dominant big. The Dream allow more rebounds per game than any WNBA team, largely because they allow 10.0 offensive boards per contest. NaLyssa Smith had a 23 and 13 game against Atlanta. A'ja Wilson had 21 points and three blocks.

Enter Brionna Jones, who is averaging career highs already in points and rebounds, putting up 14.6 and 8.1 of them, respectively. Jones has scored in double figures in every game this season and she's shot 60% or better from the floor in two of the last three contests. I think the Dream will have some trouble with her on Sunday.

Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ MIN - DK: $6,800, FD: $4,500

This play is dependent on Chiney Ogwumike's foot injury costing her another game. Ogwumike hasn't played since June 3 against Seattle, and Hamby saw a spike in minutes in the two games since. In the first one against Seattle, she played 25 minutes, going 2-for-8 with six points, eight rebounds, and one assist. The minutes and volume were there, but she struggled to hit shots.

Then against Chicago, she played 30 minutes, going 6-for-14 for 16 points with eight rebounds, one assist, and five steals. Best game of the season for Hamby, and now she gets a relatively easy matchup here against Minnesota. If Ogwumike is ruled out pre-game, get Hamby in your lineups.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas Wings) - @ NY - DK: $9,900, FD: $7,100

I've mentioned my concerns about the Liberty perimeter defense before. Opposing teams are shooting 37% from three against New York, the third-highest mark in the league, despite the fact that the team has the league's second-best scoring defense.

In other words, this feels like a game where the Dallas offense looks a little more like it looked before this season, with Arike Ogunbowale commanding a lot of usage. New York has the frontcourt personnel to slow Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard down some, but Arike will go as far as her shot-making will take her.

And hey -- she's shot 40% or better in the past two games, including going 12-for-21 last time out against Phoenix. Maybe she's found a little consistency with her shot, just in time for a game where she'll have to be high-volume.

Jordin Canada (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ MIN - DK: $8,300, FD: $6,300

With Layshia Clarendon set to miss this game, even more of the playmaking and scoring duties are going to fall to Canada.

Last game, Clarendon played just 10 minutes before exiting. In the second half without Clarendon, Canada went off. In JUST the final 20 minutes of that game against the Sky, Canada had 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal. She led all Sparks players in points and field goal attempts in the second half of that game.

And while the one second-half assist is disappointing, Canada had four more in the first half. If we can get her scoring + passing both going at the same time, she'll deliver a potential slate-winning performance. It also helps that she faces the Lynx, who have allowed the fourth-most points and the most assists per game in the WNBA this season.

Haley Jones (Atlanta Dream) - vs. CON - DK: $5,400, FD: $4,400

Atlanta's last game was the first of the month-ish absence for Aari McDonald. With her out, the Dream went big in the starting unit, going without a point guard.

But the closest thing they have to a "true" point guard on the active roster right now, Haley Jones, saw a season-high 28 minutes of action in that one. It's clear that the Dream are going to try to get her on the floor more until either McDonald or Danielle Robinson returns. Jones posted a strong all-around stat line in the loss to New York, going 3-for-7 from the field for seven points while adding six rebounds, five assists, and one block.
