MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Tyler Mahle OVER 5.5 strikeouts (+100 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Mahle has solid odds at +100 and for good reason as the risk will certainly be there against the Yanklees in this one. That being said, the Yankees have posted a 23.7% K rate vs. right-handed pitching over the previous two weeks, which ranks in the bottom half of baseball. Mahle has also struck out at least six in each of his previous two outings and posted a 9.40 k/9 in 2022.
Michael Kopech OVER 5.5 strikeouts (+110 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Kopech is another guy with plus odds and a superb matchup today. He will be up against the Orioles, who have posted a 26.6% K rate vs. right-handed pitching over the previous two weeks, which ranks dead last in baseball. While Kopech has yet to hit six strikeouts on the season, he has not faced a team striking out at the rate of Baltimore and did manage did strike out five in each of his first two starts.
Freddy Peralta OVER than 5.5 strikeouts (-130 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Peralta looked sharp in his last outing as he struck out seven Cardinals while allowing just one earned run across six innings pitched. Today, he will be up against the Padres, who have struggled against righties thus far.
Over the previous two weeks, San Diego has posted 25.8% K rate against right-handers, which ranks fourth-worst in baseball over that span. They have also posted a mediocre 99 wRC+, which should help Pertalta's stamina in this one. Peralta could return to form this season, and let's not forget, he was a guy that posted a 12.16 k/9 as recently as 2021.

The odds are rightfully pretty steep here, so consider this an option t toss into a parlay. Alsonso has been seeing the ball rather well as he has seven hits over his last 25 plate appearances. He will be up against Oakland starter, Shintaro Fujinami, who has allowed a .313 BAA to righties to begin his big-league career.
