Kyle Wright Encouraged After First Bullpen
Kyle Wright (shoulder) said he "felt really good" after his first bullpen session of spring training on Friday. Wright ended up throwing 23 fastballs. The 27-year-old entered camp behind the other pitchers due to a right shoulder injury that required an injection last month. It's unknown if he'll be ready for the start of the regular season, but there's still a chance he could be if he doesn't experience any setbacks in Grapefruit League play. Wright proved himself in 2022 and developed into a solid mid-rotation starter for the Braves and fantasy managers by going 21-5 with a 3.19 ERA (3.58 FIP), 1.16 WHIP and career-high 23.6 percent strikeout rate in a career-high 180 1/3 innings over 30 starts.
