De'Andre Hunter is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 15 of the 2022-23 NBA season.

ANALYSIS: The Hawks have struggled this season but they seem to have found a solution to their woes, having gone 7-3 in their last 10 games through Saturday and losing one after having won their prior six. While finding De'Andre Hunter in the Hawks' starting lineup is nothing new (he's started all 339 games to date), the truth is that he's raised his production bar a bit of late.
Hunter has gone from averaging just 23 FPPG before flipping the calendar page to 2023 to a much healthier 29 FPPG this month alone. He's been doing it on all fronts while his usage rate and minutes haven't changed, so it smells more like sustained improvement based on skills development rather than plain luck or getting a larger role.
The forward has logged fewer than 31 MP just once in January (35 MPG), and he's yet to finish a game this month scoring fewer than 11 points (18 PPG) and without hitting at least one triple (2.2 3PM per game). In the last 11 games, all of them played in January, Hunter is averaging a nightly 18-5-1.5 stat line while shooting 46% from the field and 82% from the charity stripe.
Over the full season, Hunter is one of only nine players keeping up 46/37/82 shooting splits while contributing 4+ RPG and turning the ball over fewer than two times per game. That group shrinks to six men if also accounting for Hunter's 15+ PPG.
