The Jacksonville Jaguars won the AFC South division and are now in the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2017. Now they get to host the Los Angeles Chargers, a team they pummeled 38-10 in Week 3. But will Jacksonville’s franchise quarterback be ready to go at gametime?

Trevor Lawrence has proven why he was taken first overall in the 2021 NFL draft.  While his rookie campaign failed fantasy football managers who drafted him thanks to his 12-to-17 TD-to-INT ratio and Urban Meyer’s horrific coaching decisions, Lawrence rebounded in his sophomore season to throw for 4,113 yards and 25 touchdowns, and he did not turn the ball over much.

His only issue now is a toe injury that has hampered him over the past month and has put his name on the injury report the last few weeks. So will Lawrence be completely healthy when he starts Saturday night at home against the Chargers? Here is the latest:

It looks like Lawrence will not be 100 percent when the ball gets kicked off this weekend unless he finds the perfect podiatrist. The toe injury he has been battling still seems to be lingering and limiting him. Lawrence is listed as questionable for this Saturday’s Wild Card round matchup, just like he has been the past couple of games prior. The tag has meant nothing, however, as Lawrence has not missed a game due to the injury.

Lawrence did look like himself in last week’s must-win game against the Tennessee Titans. He was constantly pressured by the Titans' ferocious pass rush and did not appear to have the same mobility to escape linemen and linebackers. He did not have the same accuracy, either, as he missed many wide-open receivers including Zay Jones all alone in the back of the end zone.

Lawrence’s numbers have fallen off the past three games while he has been slightly hobbled. He only has 593 passing yards and one TD pass during that short span. Fantasy managers would feel a little better about using him in a playoff league or DFS contest if his recent work was better and if he had extra time to get his toe back to normal, but neither is the case.

Lawrence carved up the Chargers' defense for 262 passing yards and a trio of touchdown tosses in Jacksonville’s early-season blowout victory, which was impressive considering the defense is ranked seventh against the pass and only allowing a shade over 200 passing yards per game. Lawrence has firmly established himself as a top-10 fantasy quarterback heading into the 2023 season. Feel free to use him in your playoff pools if you want. Lawrence might not be 100 percent, but it is 100 percent sure that he is playing.
