New York Jets - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Jets will be looking to get back to winning ways, as they fell to the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 27-22 in week 13. In terms of betting, New York not only lost the game but failed to cover the spread as 3.0 point underdogs. With their combined 49 points, the two teams exceeded the betting over-under number of 44. The Jets were not able to make a comeback in last week's game, as they trailed Minnesota by a score of 20-12 heading into the final quarter. Through 12 games, the Jets have an ATS record of 7-5. So far, they have an over-under record of 5-7. This week's betting total of 44.0 is slightly higher than the line in their previous games.

As the Jets prepare to take on Buffalo, they are ranked 18th in points per game at 21.0. This week, the team is matched up against the league's 4th ranked defense, allowing an average of just 17 points per game. In the passing attack, the Jets are throwing the ball at a rate of 36 times per contest, which is 9th most in the NFL. This week, they will look to move the ball through the air vs a defense ranked 17th in passing yards per game allowed. For the season, New York is averaging 115 yards per game on the ground.

Buffalo Bills - NFL Betting Analysis

Going back to last week, the Bills picked up a win in the AFC East, as they defeated the Bills by a score of 24-10. Buffalo entered the game as -4.0 point favorites, and went on to cover the spread. The two teams combined point total of 34 remained below the betting line of 44. On their way to picking up a 14-point win, Buffalo held a 10-point lead heading into the 4th quarter at 17-7. Through 12 games, the Bills have an ATS record of 5-6-1. So far, they have an over-under record of 3-9. This week's betting total of 44.0 is lower than the line in their previous games.

As the Bills prepare to take on New York, they have played well on offense, ranking 3rd in points per game at 27.8. Even though they have a tough matchup against the league's 6th-ranked defense, look for Buffalo to continue their strong offensive play. This season, Buffalo has been one of the better passing teams in the league, averaging 274.5 yards per game through the air. Although the Jets' defense has been able to limit opposing teams in the passing game, Buffalo should still be able to continue to generate big plays through the pass. For the season, Buffalo is ranked 8th in rush yards per contest at 136 yards per game.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Jets vs. Bills

Looking back at the recent matchups between New York and Buffalo, the Bills have taken 2 of the last 3 contests. The two teams have combined to average 45.34 points per game in their last 3 meetings. The Jets will be looking to pick up yet another win over the Bills as they picked up a 20-17 win at home in week 9. Not only did the Jets come out on top in the win column, but they also covered the spread as +9.5 point underdogs. In the two meetings between New York and Buffalo, the Bills picked up 2 wins by scores of 27-10 and 45-17.

The Buffalo Bills have performed well vs the spread in recent games, going 2-1. On average, the Jets have averaged 15.67 points per game in the past 3 head-to-head matchups, compared to Buffalo at 29.67.

Through their 3 most recent regular season matchups, the Jets have gone 1-2. In these games, they have gone just 1-2 vs the spread while posting an over-under mark of 2-1.

In their last 3 games away from home, the Jets have a straight-up record of 1-2 while going 1-2 vs the spread. The team averaged 13.67 points per game in this stretch.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Bills have gone 3-0 straight up. This also includes going 1-1-1 ATS and an over-under mark of 1-2

Across their last 3 home contests, Buffalo has been good against the spread posting a mark of 0-2-1. Their overall mark in these games was 2-1, while averaging 29.33 points per game.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Bills -9.5

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Over 44.0
