ANALYSIS: Harrison Bryant may not have even been targeted this past week in the Browns routing of the Bengals, but that's not good enough reason to shy away from the third-year tight end out of Florida Atlantic. Bryant accumulated nine receptions on 13 targets (granted, for limited yardage) over the four previous matchups before Week 8, and still saw 54 offensive snaps in his target-less performance against Cincinnati.
The Browns quarterback situation has been shaky, if not surprisingly adequate, but it is shaping up to get a lot better with the impending return of a certain suspended high-price passer. Bryant is already out-performing his first two seasons in terms of workload, and the improvement of the Cleveland passing game should work well towards upping his red zone target rate and getting him back to the touchdown pace he hit as a rookie and sophomore. In a season that has further emphasized the narrative of tough times in digging for waiver wire tight ends past a certain point in the year, those in deeper formats should look to Harrison Bryant as a widely-available TE option past the Browns Week 9 bye.
