BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 39% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I have written about George Pickens as a WW target in prior weeks because he very well merited a mention back then. I mean, of course, that he merited highlighting his name all by himself and his lone efforts on a football field whether or not Kenny Pickett was the man throwing him the rock.
That was one of the main selling points other analysts were making in favor of Pickens, and it's now happening for real as Mitch Trubisky got sent to the bench to make way for the rookie quarterback. And Pickens, of course, delivered the goods over a magnificent Week 4 matchup with the Jets that saw him finish with his best fantasy tally to date.
When the final whistle was blown, Pickens had amassed 102 yards from catching six of his eight targets on the day. The only thing missing on Pickens' season record is a receiving touchdown, but there must be some positive regression right around the corner. In fact, Pickens is one of only nine WR through Week 4 with 20+ targets and 160+ yards yet to score a touchdown. Again: it's coming, so trust the process.
We have yet to watch Pickett complete more than 10 passes in a full game, or pass for a touchdown, but judging by preseason reports, expectations, and what Pickens has already been good to do in the first four games of the season odds are his outcomes only improve through the remainder of the year.
