Shohei Ohtani Will Serve As DH Thursday
Shohei Ohtani (forearm) had a "mild cramp in his forearm" on Wednesday, according to manager Phil Nevin. However, Ohtani will serve as the designated hitter on Thursday against the Oakland Athletics, and the injury isn't considered serious. The 28-year-old two-way start allowed three runs (two earned) while striking out seven in 5 2/3 innings against the A's on Wednesday, but he didn't appear to suffer the injury while pitching. There's a chance the Angels could change their minds before game time on Thursday, but all signs point to this being nothing serious for Ohtani. If he's indeed in the starting lineup on Thursday, he needs to be in all fantasy starting lineups.
