Who should I start for Week 17? Fantasy football outlooks for Zach Charbonnet, D'Andre Swift, Seahawks D/ST. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

The Seattle Seahawks will take on the Chicago Bears tonight in the final installment of Thursday Night Football for the 2024 season. With many championships on the line in fantasy football leagues during Week 17, this game will have a big impact on how many managers' seasons turn out.

Both teams have a solid crop of startable players, though the weekly question of whether they're worth putting into active lineups remains. And the stakes are higher than ever -- choosing the right guys could be the difference between winning your league (or at least not being the Toilet Bowl champ).

Let's break down Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet, Bears running back D'Andre Swift, and the Seahawks D/ST to determine whether it's a good idea to start or sit them.

Should I Start Zach Charbonnet for Fantasy Football?

We think you should. Charbonnet has been mostly great in games that the team's RB1, Kenneth Walker III (calf), hasn't played, and Walker has already been declared out. Charb should take the vast majority of the team's backfield touches and have little competition for scoring fantasy points.

He's clearly talented, and in the four games KWIII has sat out, Charbs has played 96%, 84%, 80%, and 80% of offensive snaps and scored 17.9, 25.7, 38.3, and 13.6 PPR fantasy points. Those are easy RB1 numbers, and he'll face a Chicago Bears run defense that's struggled, especially lately.

They give up an average of 4.7 yards per carry on opposing rushing plays. So Charbonnet is an absolute must-start in all leagues, and if Seattle's offense doesn't completely collapse, he could be a league-winner.

Should I Start D'Andre Swift for Fantasy Football?

Seattle's defense hasn't fared much better against the run, but Swift also hasn't fared particularly well. He now has five straight games with under double-digit PPR fantasy points. This actually coincides pretty well with the firing of former head coach Matt Eberflus. Without him, the defense has fallen off a cliff, and the Bears have been forced to pass the ball more.

In a season full of heartbreak, one positive has been RB D’Andre Swift.

He's still highly explosive, clearly, but has just one game of 20 or more touches in his last six and has carried the ball more than 15 times just once in that span. His efficiency has also nosedived, as he's faced better defenses over that stretch. Seattle allows nearly the same YPC to opposing rushers this season.

So Swift checks in as an RB3/FLEX with reasonable RB2 upside and possibly more due to the easy matchup. He should still be started in most leagues.

Should I Start Seahawks D/ST for Fantasy Football?

They haven't been a particularly good unit in recent weeks, but they're still the No. 7 ranked D/ST on the season in leagues with standard scoring options. They've racked up 19 takeaways, 35 sacks, and four touchdowns while ranking around the middle of the league in points and yards per game allowed.

They're a decent start against a Bears offense that's prone to turnovers and flaming out on drives. Chicago has a way of scoring in garbage time, though, so it may be frustrating to see them racking up points late, and that reduces Seattle's D/ST upside here.

But we think you'd be just fine starting them anyway.
