Marcus Johansson Extends Point Streak to Eight Games
Minnesota Wild left wing Marcus Johansson had an assist in Friday's 5-2 road win over the New York Islanders to stretch his career-best point streak to eight games. The Swedish veteran started his scoring run with a three-game goal streak and has totaled five goals and five assists during his prolific spell. Johansson currently shares the longest active point streak in the league with three other players. For the season, he has totaled 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 16 appearances. Considering Minnesota faces the struggling Flames and the leaky Sharks next, Johansson is in a good position to continue his streak for at least a couple of more games.
