When Will Mike Evans Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 15 (2025)

Mike Evans, Baker Mayfield - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

When will Mike Evans return and play? Will Mike Evans be back again this season? Read the latest Mike Evans injury updates and return date for Week 15 (2025).

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a team in despair. After a 5-1 start, they've been decimated by injuries and now find themselves in a scrap for the NFC South title with the Panthers following five losses in their last seven.

However, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. They are close to being back at full strength for the first time all season, as players such as Jalen McMillan and Calijah Kancey are looking to make their way back to the squad. Their franchise superstar and future Hall of Famer, Mike Evans, is also looking to return, as he hasn't played since getting injured in Week 7 against the Lions.

When will Mike Evans return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Mike Evans Injury Update

Mike Evans' start to the 2025 season was very similar to his start to the previous campaign. Through the first three games this year, Evans had 140 yards and a touchdown, which was almost a carbon copy of his first three games of 2024, when he had 120 yards and two scores.

Buccaneers fans weren't too worried about Evans after he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3, as they assumed that he would return to finish the year strong and extend his 1,000-yard streak just like he did in 2024.

However, a heartbreaking broken clavicle in his return game in Week 7 all but ended his legendary streak. He might no longer have the chance to have his 12th consecutive 1,000-yard campaign, but he's ready to return to the field at the perfect time to steer the ship for the Bucs.

HC Todd Bowles told reporters that Evans is "in play" to return against the Falcons alongside Jalen McMillan and Tristan Wirfs, Per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Mike Evans Fantasy Football Outlook

Extending the 1,000-yard streak is almost certainly much out of reach, but Evans will still have to find ways to inject some life into the Buccaneers' offense.

Baker Mayfield is dealing with multiple injuries, most notably a sprained left AC joint, which has hampered his ability in the passing game.

Emeka Egbuka has also declined without Evans, as he has dropped multiple touchdown passes, with the most recent one being a crucial TD drop against the Saints in Week 14.

Now that Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin are back, Evans should be the final piece to get this offense going again. The Buccaneers will play against the Falcons on Thursday Night Football and will also face the Dolphins in Week 16.

Sandwiched between the Dolphins game are two critical games against the Panthers, and if the Bucs can win those games, they will clinch their fifth consecutive NFC South title.

A Wild Card berth is out of the question in the stacked NFC, and the only way that Tampa Bay can make the playoffs is by winning the NFC South.

Look for Mayfield to target Evans aggressively to give the team a chance of hosting a playoff game for yet another season. Despite the long absence, Evans is a must-start fantasy WR during the fantasy playoffs.
