When Will CeeDee Lamb Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 6 (2025)

CeeDee Lamb - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS and Betting Picks, NFL Injury News

When will CeeDee Lamb return and play? Will CeeDee Lamb be back again this season? Read the latest CeeDee Lamb injury updates and return date for Week 6 (2025).

CeeDee Lamb has been one of the best WRs in the NFL since entering the league in 2020. Only Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, and Davante Adams have recorded more receiving yards since the start of Lamb's pro career.

In 2024, the 2023 overall WR1 dealt with injuries to himself and his quarterback, Dak Prescott, but still managed to finish as the fantasy WR8. Lamb recorded 38.2 PPR points in the first two games of the 2025 season before going down with an injury in Week 3, and he still hasn't returned.

When will CeeDee Lamb return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update

Lamb suffered a high-ankle sprain in the first quarter of the Cowboys' 14-31 loss to the Bears, and the team opted against placing him on the Injured Reserve list, which would have ruled him out for at least four games.

After missing Dallas' Week 4 matchup against Green Bay, Lamb stopped wearing his walking boot and was a limited participant in practice before Week 5. He missed that game as well, but appears on track for a return in the next two weeks.

On 105.3 The Fan, Cowboys CEO Stephen Jones was asked about the team's injured players, including Lamb, to which he responded by saying he expected "most of them" to return in the next two weeks.

Barring any setbacks, Lamb looks set to play in Week 7 against the Commanders, though his status for the Week 6 contest against the Panthers remains questionable.

CeeDee Lamb Fantasy Football Outlook

From 2022 to 2024, CeeDee Lamb recorded the most PPR points of any wide receiver in the NFL (968.20). This is despite the fact that Dak Prescott was unavailable for almost 25% of Lamb's games during that span.

Even without Prescott, Lamb has proven that he can produce, and his numbers get even better when his star QB is on the field. Not counting the Bears game, in which Lamb got hurt after seven snaps, Lamb has averaged 20.7 PPR points per game when playing with Dak Prescott since 2022.

Lamb was on pace for yet another dominant season before his injury this season. He ranked second in targets (24) and third in receiving yards (222) after the first two weeks, and his stats could have been even higher if it weren't for some uncharacteristic drops.

George Pickens and Jake Ferguson have been in tremendous form in Lamb's absence, but it's clear that Lamb is "the guy" on this team and will lead the team in targets once again when he gets back to 100%.

Half of the Cowboys' remaining 12 games will be against teams that have allowed 33 PPR points per game to WRs this season, including two games against the Commanders in Week 7 and 17.
