Week 8 Stream Team - Shallow and Deep-League Pickups

Kipp Heisterman picks his Streamer Teams for Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season. These fantasy football free agents could be valuable streamers and waiver wire pickups or adds for both deep and shallow leagues.

Welcome to Week 8 of the NFL season. Each week we will be providing streamer advice for all of those who need it, which is pretty much anyone and everyone. Streaming players with the best matchups each week as well as during your stud's bye weeks is an integral part of winning a fantasy championship and we are here to provide the best choices week in and week out.

Each week in this article, we will break down streamers for both shallower leagues of 8-10 teams (around 50% rostered or less) and deeper leagues of 14 or more teams (around 30% rostered or less). We will provide a specific roster in each type of league, which will include a QB, RB, WR, TE, and Flex. It should also be noted that if you play in a deep league, but a shallow-league player mentioned here is available in your league, feel free to stream them as

Everything seemed to go off pretty well last week and we did not have any games recommended here canceled, so let's hope for the same as we head into Week 8. Some of the best options to stream are highlighted below.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Stream Team for Shallow Leagues (<50% Rostered)

Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns

34% Rostered

Mayfield had the game of his life last week in this spot and somehow his rostership level dropped. He will have another solid matchup vs. the Raiders in Week 8 and should certainly be streamed. The Raiders are allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks in the league over the previous four weeks by allowing nearly 31 points per game. They have also given up nearly 1,000 passing yards and eight touchdowns over that same span. The game total is also high at 54, so feel free to fire Mayfield up.

Damien Harris, New England Patriots

47% Rostered

Running back is tough again this week, but with Harris getting much of the action in New England, he may be a solid play. The Bills Defense is not what it was in 2019 thus far, and they are currently allowing an average of just over 24 fantasy points per game to the running back position over the previous four weeks. They are allowing nearly 4.4 yards per carry and have given up four rushing touchdowns over that span. It could be a tight divisional game, which means New England could rely heavily on the rushing attack.

Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers

53% Rostered

Aiyuk is a bit high owned for this segment, but I have to put him in here if he is available to stream in your league. He should be the most-targeted receiver in this 49er offense on Sunday with no Deebo Samuel available. Aiyuk had seven targets last week and hauled in six catches for 115 yards. He will be going against a Seattle defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the previous four weeks. This is a game with a total of 54, so fireworks could certainly be flying in this one.

Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys

41% Rostered

Schultz let us down a bit last week, but perhaps he can rebound vs. an Eagles Defense that really struggles vs. the tight end position. They are allowing the second-most points per game to the position over the previous four weeks by allowing just over 19 points per game. They have given up a league-worst 32 receptions and 330 yards over that span as well.

Cole Beasley, Buffalo Bills

43% Rostered

Beasley has seen 19 targets in the previous two games and will continue to see an expanded role if John Brown misses more time. The Bills are facing a Patriots Defense that has given up 447 receiving yards to wide receivers over the previous four weeks, which only includes three games played. Beasley should be able to find space over the middle in this game and put up a solid fantasy stat line.

Stream Team for Deep Leagues (<30% Rostered)

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers

31% Rostered

I could recommend Drew Lock in this spot vs. a Chargers Defense that is giving up the second-most points to quarterbacks over the previous four weeks, but I could not bring myself to do that to you guys. Jimmy G is also in a great spot and poses less risk vs. a Seahawks Defense that is giving up an average of just over 24 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the previous four weeks, which ranks fourth-worst in the league. He should be able to find success throwing on this defense as they have also given up 924 passing yards in their previous three games.

Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts

28% Rostered

Running back at this level at the time of this writing is difficult, to say the least. We could have some injuries open up and make this a little more clear, but for now, Hines is the guy. The Lions are giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to running backs over the previous four weeks. While this obviously means good things for Johnathan Taylor, Hines has seen 10 targets in the previous two weeks and Detroit has also allowed 17 receptions and 143 yards to backs over that same span.

Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans

30% Rostered

Corey Davis is back again after putting up a solid performance vs. the Steelers in which he caught six balls for 35 yards and a score on 10 targets. He will be going up against a Bengals Defense that is allowing the 12th-most fantasy points to wide receivers over the previous four weeks. Tennessee has allowed the most points to wide receivers over the previous four weeks, so the Bengals could find success vs. this defense and force the Titans to throw the ball a bit more than expected, which is a key reason I like Davis in this game.

Greg Olsen, Seattle Seahawks

18% Rostered

Olsen has only seen four targets in the previous two games, but he could find some success vs. the 49ers who are allowing over 13 fantasy points per game to the tight end position over the previous four weeks, which ranks them 13th-worst in the league. They have given up the seventh-most yards to the position over that span as well as the seventh-most receptions.

Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders

19% Rostered

Renfrow has seen at least six targets in three of the previous four games and has a solid matchup vs. the Browns this week. The Browns are allowing over 53 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position over the previous four weeks, which ranks second-worst in the league. The game also has a projected total of 54, which should mean plenty of passing.
