The All-Star break is over, and it's officially the start of the second half of the season. More top prospects are being called up to the big leagues, and some are producing for fantasy managers immediately. Tyler Soderstrom and Zack Gelof were recently promoted, while Quinn Priester will make his MLB debut in Week 17. Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Grayson Rodriguez will be recalled from the minor leagues and start Monday against the Dodgers. The Reds will call up top prospect Christian Encarnacion-Strand on Monday.
Notable injury notes include Fernando Tatis Jr. (ankle), Framber Valdez (calf), Jeremy Pena (hamstring), Cedric Mullins (quad), Eddie Rosario (hamstring), and Kevin Gausman (back) being considered day-to-day.
