ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been a solid flex option for fantasy players this season. The veteran wide receiver is the WR33 for the year, averaging 8.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, he has played well lately, averaging 7.3 targets and 9.8 fantasy points per game over the past four weeks.
Unfortunately, DK Metcalf suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain in Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons. While the superstar wide receiver’s injury isn’t season-ending, Metcalf likely will miss a few games.

Many will push Jaxon Smith-Njigba up in their fantasy football ranks with Metcalf out of the lineup. However, Lockett should also receive a bump in value. The veteran wide receiver has been a reliable target for Geno Smith.
Fantasy players should add Lockett off the waiver wire and trust him as a low-end WR2 with upside until Metcalf is healthy.
