NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/3/22

Because this is a large slate, there are going to be a lot of different spots that look good tonight. You can't cover them all, even if you try to play a lot of lineups.

You can check out the latest here: Vegas Odds for the Day

So how do we separate the teams? Price is a factor, and whether teams are on a back-to-back is another factor, along with the upcoming schedule. Pick the very best spots you can find and hope that it is enough to cash!

As always, ensure the goalie in your lineup is confirmed before the lineup lock! There is nothing worse than having a great lineup but taking a zero at goalie. This has happened to me before and it stinks!

NHL DFS Goalies

Sergei Bobrovsky DK $7.4K || FD $8.0K

Opponent - San Jose Sharks

Florida is the largest favorite on the slate at -225 odds as the Sharks are 3-8-1 with seven points on the year. The goalies for the Panthers have not done well including Bobrovsky. He is 2-3-1 with a 3.06 GAA and a .897 SV%. He has a .916 SV% on his career so one would hope against a weak opponent that there would be some positive regression coming his way. His price on DraftKings is very affordable and would allow a lot of flexibility in lineups.

If Spencer Knight were to draw the start, he is 3-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .899 SV%. Also not good. But I'd be OK with the pivot there.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Markstrom (DK $8.3K || FD $8.1K), Kuemper (DK $7.6K || FD $8.3K)

NHL DFS Centers

Nazem Kadri -DK $8.1K || FD $9.6K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

There are some great spend-ups tonight like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl tonight. In a cash game, I do not necessarily need the upside that those guys offer, although if I can fit them in I would. Kadri is having a great start to the season and has been consistent with five goals and five assists in 10 games. He has scored a point in every game except for one this season.

Nashville has been a disappointment. Juuse Saros is 1-5-1 with a .888 SV%. As long as he is having issues, I do not mind targeting skaters against Nashville.

Jack Hughes -DK $6.7K || FD $7.5K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

Jack Hughes and the Devils draw a tough opponent tonight in the Edmonton Oilers. Edmonton does not really play defense, however, as they allow the ninth-most shots on goal per game. Hughes has four goals and six assists in 10 games played this season while averaging 4.4 shots on goal per game.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Point (DK $6.0K || FD $6.9K), Bennett (DK $4.7K || FD $5.8K)

NHL DFS Wings

David Pastrnak- DK $8.9K || FD $10.6K

Opponent - New York Rangers

I probably will not play Pastrnak in a cash game but he has to be noted in this article somewhere. He has 18 points in 10 games played while averaging 5.7 shots on goal per game. Boston has been playing well, scoring a lot, and he is out there to shoot the puck. Hard to fit in lineups at his price but someone to always consider when healthy.

Kyle Connor- DK $6.8K || FD $6.0K

Opponent - Montreal Canadiens

Kyle Connor should not be this cheap, but when you aren't producing, that is what happens. He has just one goal and three assists in nine games played. He is averaging 3.66 shots on goal but his median and mode are closer to three than four for sure. Going against the Canadiens at home is a great spot to turn things around. This is a player that had 93 points in 79 games just a year ago.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Ovechkin (DK $7.4K || FD $7.8K), Bjorkstrand (DK $4.5K || FD $5.8K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Dougie Hamilton- DK $6.7K || FD $6.0K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

Hamilton has seven points in 10 games while averaging 3.4 shots on goal per game and 0.9 blocked shots per game. He skates on the Power Play. Edmonton doesn't play much defense and New Jersey has been looking good this season. I will take the discount the Devils have across the board and play many of them tonight.

Nate Schmidt- DK $3.3K || FD $3.7K

Opponent - Montreal Canadiens

Nate Schmidt has been skating on the PP2 but is priced like he is not. In his last three games, he has six shots on goal (two each game) and 10 blocked shots.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Forsling (DK $5.5K || FD $5.9K), Orlov (DK $4.2K || FD $4.4K)

NHL DFS Top Stacks

There are so many good spots to go to on this slate. Here is a handful I like:

  • FLA1: Facing a weak San Jose Sharks. After a disappointing showing against Arizona, might not be as popular as one would expect.
  • MIN2 or PP1: Boldy is now on the line with Eriksson Ek. Those two are a formidable duo going against Seattle.
  • CGY1:  As mentioned earlier, Nashville has goaltending issues.
  • LA PP1: Chicago is second in penalities per game and has the eighth-worst penalty kill.
  • VAN 1: Anaheim allows the most shots on goal per game. Horvat-Miller are on Line 1 and on PP1 where Anaheim also has the second-worst penalty kill in the league.
