NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/10/22

This is a 10-game slate, which is the size I enjoy. It is large enough to have a few options but small enough where the popular plays can have consolidated ownership.

You can check out the latest here: Vegas Odds for the Day

As always, ensure the goalie in your lineup is confirmed before the lineup lock! With several teams on a back-to-back, it is a safe assumption to go with the goalie that did not start the previous night. Everyone else you have to double-check! There is nothing worse than having a great lineup but taking a zero at goalie. This has happened to me before and it stinks!

NHL DFS Goalies

Alexandar Georgiev DK $7.8K || FD $8.6K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

I do not know why Alexandar Georgiev is so cheap on DraftKings but he is. On DraftKings with the Avalanche back at home, going against an inconsistent Nashville squad seems like a no-brainer. Georgiev is 6-1-1 with a 2.61 GAA and a .925 SV%.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Vanecek (DK $8.5K || FD $7.5K), Shesterkin (DK $7.4K || FD $8.2K)

NHL DFS Centers

Nathan MacKinnon -DK $8.9K || FD $10.2K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

Nathan MacKinnon has 19 points (three goals, 16 assists) in 11 games played. He averages 5.0 shots on goal per game. The only risk here is that this is Colorado's first game after coming back from Finland and could be a little sluggish coming out the gates.

Nico Hischier -DK $6.3K || FD $7.8K

Opponent - Ottawa Senators

Nico Hischier has 14 points (six goals and eight assists) in 12 games played. He also averages 3.4 shots on goal per game. Ottawa has goaltending issues, New Jersey is playing well and at home. It's a good spot to be in.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Eichel (DK $7.1K || FD $7.3K), Trocheck (DK $5.9K || FD $6.0K)

NHL DFS Wings

Artemi Panarin- DK $6.6K || FD $8.6K

Opponent - Detroit Red Wings

Artemi Panarin is now skating on the top line for the Rangers. He has 19 points in 14 games played. The Rangers are favored in this game and Panarin is in a good spot here.

Mikko Rantanen- DK $7.9K || FD $9.6K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

This is the same risk as MacKinnon but I don't mind the price for Rantanen in this one if you can afford it. He had a huge showing in Finland with five points in two games played. He is at 16 points in 11 games while averaging 3.27 shots on goal per game. Here is hoping he can take some of that production back to Colorado tonight!

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Meier (DK $7.6K || FD $7.5K), Konecny (DK $6.5K || FD $9.2K, Vilardi (DK $5.5K || FD $6.6K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Erik Karlsson- DK $8.3K || FD $7.9K

Opponent - Saint Louis Blues

Erik Karlson has been on fire lately! He has 10 goals and nine assists in 12 games played along with averaging 3.58 shots on goal per game! Now he goes against Saint Louis which is a complete dumpster fire defensively. On one hand, it's hard to believe this streak will sustain. On the other hand, Saint Louis is a mess. I probably won't be able to roster Karlsson in a cash game but will likely have in a GPP lineup or two.

Jake Sanderson- DK $3.7K || FD $4.3K

Opponent - New Jersey Devils

Jake Sanderson is on the top power play and his price has not adjusted to account for that. Anytime I can get a cheap power play defensemen, I try my best to get them in my lineup.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Hamilton (DK $7.0K || FD $6.9K), Hronek (DK $3.1K || FD $4.3K)

NHL DFS Top Stacks

Here is a handful of stacks I like:

  • LA2: Los Angeles has a 4.2 implied total. Their top line, correlated with the top power play will likely be popular. Going with the second line with correlation to the second power-play unit is a good way to get different. It also allows you to get in a high-priced secondary stack in there or spend up in places others may spend down.
  • COL1: Avs at home? I always consider them. Saros has a .892 SV% this season, we should see goals if they aren't sluggish.
  • NJ2: I like NJ1 for cash games, NJ1 has more upside with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt
  • VGK 1 or 2: The top line has more upside but the second line is a good value. The Sabres penalty kill is in the lower third of the league, so getting best of both worlds with a Power Play stack is another option here. I want some Vegas exposure tonight.
