NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 10/26/22

On this slate, we have the New York Rangers playing a back-to-back against the Islanders. The same can be said for Tampa Bay going from Los Angeles last night to Anaheim the next night. As far as back-to-backs go, these are two of the easier travel situations; however, it still is back-to-back and something to consider.

You can check out the latest here: Vegas Odds for the Day

As always, make sure the goalie in your lineup is confirmed before the lineup lock! There is nothing worse than having a great lineup but taking a zero at goalie. This has happened to me before and it stinks!

NHL DFS Goalies

Ilya Sorokin DK $7.8K || FD $7.5K

Opponent - New York Rangers

When Sorokin is in the net and at home, he is always someone I am considering. Going against the Rangers coming off a back-to-back shootout loss to Colorado, the Islanders are in a good spot as I do not think Shesterkin will start for the Rangers.

Vasilevskiy is likely to not go as he started last night against the Kings. With both him and Shesterkin both likely to be out, Goalie is wide open. An argument can be made for any of the goalies.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Binnington (DK $7.9K || FD $8.6K), Gibson (DK $7.4K || FD $7.0K - GPP only)

NHL DFS Centers

Leon Draisaitl -DK $7.1K || FD $10.2K

Opponent - Saint Louis Blues

Leon Draisaitl continues to be a great deal on DraftKings. He has three goals and eight assists in six games played. He averages 3.5 shots on goal per game. He's on the top power play and he is averaging more DraftKings points per game than Connor McDavid at a $1500 discount. Draisaitl is a cash game staple.

Steven Stamkos -DK $7.4K || FD $10.3K

Opponent - Anaheim Ducks

It may be difficult to get both Draisaitl and Stamkos in your lineup on FanDuel but on Draftkings it is very possible. Through Tampa Bay's first six games, Stamkos had seven goals and two assists, averaging 4.16 shots on goal per game. Anaheim allows a league-high 41.17 shots per game.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Point (DK $5.2K || FD $7.8K), Thomas (DK $4.3K || FD $6.2K - Cash Games and DK)

NHL DFS Wings

Vladimir Tarasenko- DK $6.9K || FD $8.8K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

Tarasenko has two goals and four assists in six games played this season. He has had a couple of quiet games but his upside is definitely there. He also is averaging three shots on goal per game. As long as a winger takes a steady dose of shots, I am going to be interested in them.

Zach Hyman- DK $5.0K || FD $7.1K

Opponent - Saint Louis Blues

Zach Hyman has six points in his first six games this season. He also averages 2.67 shots on goal per game. I like having a correlation to a center and Hyman is the center he will be with the most often as they are full-strength line mantes and also linemates on the power play.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Terry (DK $5.1K || FD $6.9K), Namestnikov (DK $2.8K || FD $5.1K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Victor Hedman- DK $6.7K || FD $7.3K

Opponent - Anaheim Ducks

For the spend-up defensemen, Hedman is my favorite on the slate. He is on the PP1 and has as much upside as anyone on the blue line. He has five points in his first six games and averages 3.16 shots on goal per game.

Justin Faulk- DK $5.9K || FD $6.5K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

Faulk has four points (three goals, one assist) in four games this season. He also averages 2.5 shots on goal per game as well as 2.25 shots on goal per game.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Nurse (DK $5.0K || FD $6.4K) , Leddy (DK $3.2K || FD $4.1K)

NHL DFS Top Stacks

There are so many good spots to go to on this slate. Here is a handful I like:

  • EDM2: Correlated to PP1. Binnington can be an up-and-down goalie.
  • STL2: I do not game stack, but I think EDM-STL will be the highest-scoring game on the slate. If making multiple lineups, take both sides of the game.
  • NYR2: Not as big of names but a productive, even strength line.
  • ANH1: This is my sneaky stack. Tampa Bay is on a back-to-back with Vasilevskiy likely to not play.
