ANALYSIS: Call me crazy but... shouldn't we be seeing Tim Patrick, new Broncos WR2, rostered in many more than just 20% of Yahoo leagues by now? Remember, Denver lost Jerry Jeudy for a good chunk of the year already throwing him into IR, so it's not that there are any playing-time concerns around Patrick these days. If he's not a WR2, he's definitely the WR3, and although Teddy Bridgewater is probably not your preferred QB, he's good enough to keep Patrick's value up weekly. Go get Patrick, folks. Can't get much safer than this WW pick.
Tim Patrick already played 46 snaps (70%) in Week 1 for the Broncos this season, and he raised the bar this past Sunday with 51 for a 74% snap share (only Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant had slightly higher shares). Patrick's line against the Jags could have been a bit better, but hardly more efficient: 3-of-4 receptions for 37 yards (12.3 YPR) and a touchdown, his second of the year after finding paydirt on W1 against Big Blue. All in all, back-to-back weeks of 12+ PPR points and top-40 finishes among WR-eligible players.
It's very obvious that Sutton is the honcho of this offense, and that won't change unless he gets down injured and misses ample time. That being said, though, Patrick looks like a very solid play and perhaps the second most reliable player in Denver as TE Noah Fant will need to battle his fellow TE and teammate Albert Okwuegbunam for touches. Patrick is a lock to get 4+ targets weekly and he's got a good pair of hands grabbing 7-of-8 targets in two games so far without missing on scoring. Must-roster player in deeper formats with a chance to sneak into 12-team leagues' rosters if he is able to sustain his efficiency.
