As the season wears on, this list will feature more name brand players that you may have trouble letting go. Peyton Manning owners remember all too well how a big name can derail an entire season if you refuse to accept that he simply no longer has value. The names on this list no longer have fantasy value.

Each week from now until the end of the season, I’ll be offering my thoughts on players who don’t deserve to keep a roster spot on your fantasy football teams. Below are my Week 15 cuts and drops for fantasy football.

Players to Consider Dropping or Replacing

Marcus Mariota (QB, TEN)

I really don't care that the Titans face the 49ers this week. It just doesn't matter. Marcus Mariota has been a whole host of things this season, none of which I would describe as effective. He hasn't posted a single 20 point effort and has struggled in multiple pristine matchups. He's been inefficient. He's been erratic. He's been injured. His offense is predictable and uncreative. He's missing open receivers. When he hits open receivers, they drop it. Nothing has gone right for Mariota this season. I still believe in him long term, but even against the 49ers, you cannot be confident starting him. If you're not starting a QB against the 49ers, you don't need to roster said QB.

Ted Ginn (WR, NO)

Ted Ginn looked to be useful four weeks ago when he posted back to back WR2 weeks. That went away real quick. Over the past two weeks, he's seen a total of just five targets, catching four passes for 37 yards. Between Michael Thomas, Mark Ingram, and Alvin Kamara, there just isn't enough offense left for Ginn. His ownership percentage is way too high. You cannot confidently start him in week 15. Therefore, you should just drop him.

Orleans Darkwa (RB, NYG)

With Ben McAdoo out, all bets were off with how players were used prior to the Steve Spagnuolo era. One of the changes he made was to give rookie Wayne Gallman a longer look. Gallman out-snapped and out-touched Orleans Darkwa last week, which only makes sense for the Giants as they play out the rest of 2017 with an eye towards next year. The Giants offense isn't good enough to warrant rostering a touchdown dependent RB in a timeshare.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (TE, NYJ)

Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been mostly useless for a long time now. It's just gone relatively unnoticed. Over his past eight weeks, he has been a startable option just once, way back in week 10. The two weeks prior and the four weeks after (including his week 11 bye), ASJ has been downright useless. Over his past three games in particular, ASJ has a combined five receptions for 35 yards. While the Jets were shutout last week, the previous two weeks they scored 38 and 27 points. ASJ is completely irrelevant and now will be receiving passes from Bryce Petty. Drop him.
