Should I Drop Tyler Lockett, Romeo Doubs, Wan'Dale Robinson? Fantasy Football Outlooks For Week 13

Tyler Lockett - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I drop Tyler Lockett, Romeo Doubs, Wan'Dale Robinson for fantasy football Week 13? Are Tyler Lockett, Romeo Doubs, Wan'Dale Robinson safe to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlooks.

It's the nature of the NFL for players to slide in and out of fantasy relevance throughout any given season. We'll often see players go on hot streaks, only to see their roles in the offense reduced and their production fall. This could happen for any number of reasons. It's important to try to break down why this might happen for athletes on your fantasy football rosters.

It's always good to do whatever you can to gain even a slight edge. Every point matters when it comes to determining matchup winners and for seeding in the fantasy playoffs. And holding players on your bench that have little chance of ever helping you win games when you need them isn't a great idea.

So who are three players on fantasy roster bubbles, and should you drop them?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Drop Tyler Lockett in Fantasy Football?

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has seen a diminished role in the offense that's seemingly coincided with more reliable production from second-year pro Jaxon Smith-Njigba. It appears that the sophomore has fully taken over the WR2 role in offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb's offense.

There's been a changing of the guard here, especially over the last three games. While WR D.K. Metcalf is likely to remain as the team's clear WR1, there's still plenty of value for both the top-2 roles. Smith-Njigba has earned 31 targets in the team's last three contests. Lockett has just 10.

In deeper leagues, the 32-year old vet is probably worth hanging on to as injury insurance. In games that Metcalf or Smith-Njigba don't play, he should still be a viable option in PPR leagues. But he's well on the wrong side of 30, and it's clear his athleticism and skill have been declining significantly.

It's not hard to imagine him being cut or released from his team before 2025.

Should I Drop Romeo Doubs in Fantasy Football?

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) suffered a concussion in Week 12. He slammed his head hard on the ground and had to be helped off the field by teammates. He was then ruled out of the contest, and now sits in the league's concussion protocol.

He'll need to pass through all five steps of the protocol and be cleared by a non-NFL affiliated neurologist to be cleared to play again. But even when he's on the field, Green Bay's offense has preferred to spread the ball around, and is sometimes incredibly run-heavy.

Doubs only has three games where he's scored 10 or more PPR fantasy points. One of them occurred in a contest where he caught two touchdowns (his only two of the season). The others happened when he had six and 10 targets in those two games. He's not been the most reliable fantasy asset.

He has a full-time role in the offense, playing on the outside and taking 70-90% of the team's offensive snaps reliably. However, that's just not translated into production. There's too much target competition and too many games where quarterback Jordan Love doesn't attempt enough passes to produce good fantasy outings for his pass-catchers.

Some days, it's a Christian Watson game. Other days, Jayden Reed has the best outing. Even tight end Tucker Kraft has had some blow-up games. In Week 12, the team rushed the ball 42 times, while completing just 13 passes. None of the GB wideouts can be trusted in fantasy lineups consistently at this point.

Doubs is a fine player to drop. They should throw it more in the future, but who knows who will get the targets.

Should I Drop Wan'Dale Robinson in Fantasy Football?

Outside of deeper leagues, yes. There isn't any reason to hang on to him any longer. With the team's original starting quarterback, Daniel Jones, now a member of the Minnesota Vikings, the Giants appear to be in full tank mode. Robinson had decent value as a PPR-scam player earlier in the season, but it appears that ship has sailed.

He's been targeted the sixth-most times in the league this year, but is still just the WR33 in PPR despite not missing any games due to injury. He sees a large volume of short throw targets, serving as a safety valve for quick throws and check downs. But he hasn't been productive with them.

He averages just over 4.9 yards per target, which is very low comparatively. Despite his 61 receptions, he has just two plays of 20 or more yards this season. The turmoil at the team's quarterback position has hurt the entire offense.

The team has a pretty easy schedule coming up, though. They have the third-easiest fantasy playoff schedule of any team for receivers in the NFL this year. All three of their remaining matchups are favorable, and feature opposing defenses that allow more PPR fantasy points per game to opposing WRs than the league average.

So he's worth hanging on to in PPR leagues with 12 or more teams.
