Saturday Christmas NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings (12/25/2021)

Kyler Murray - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, Draft Targets

Mark Kieffer's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on Saturday Christmas- 12/25/21 two-game slate. His Week 16 daily fantasy football advice.

Tomorrow, Christmas Day, we have a Saturday football two-game slate. The Green Bay Packers are taking on the Cleveland Browns, along with the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Indianapolis Colts.

Information keeps changing, there are some players we are not 100% sure if they will play. Be sure you check out the news and Twitter for the latest updates on the slate right before the kick-off of each game.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 16 Saturday daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks. Please also check out our other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big!

Quarterbacks - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Quarterback is likely going to be something in a cash game I would fill in towards the end. There are good passing defenses on this slate: Arizona is No. 5, Cleveland is No. 8, Green Bay is No. 9 and then Indianapolis is average at No. 15.

Kyler Murray, QB - ARI vs IND (DK: $7,200, FD: $8,700)

I like Murray on both sites if I have the cash to spend on him as he is the most expensive quarterback, and with good reason. This game is the highest total on the slate, while Murray's rushing ability gives him the highest ceiling and probably the highest floor at the position as well. Also, Indianapolis has the worst pass defense on the slate.

Also Consider: Carson Wentz IND @ ARI $5,400/$7,200 - This is my favorite GPP play at QB. He had a horrible game last week completing just five passes; fantasy gamers remember this and will probably have a difficult time rostering, especially in the small-dollar contests.  Arizona does not have a great run defense (No. 17), a good pass defense, and it would make sense to expect Jonathan Taylor to have a big game or at least be the focal point of the offense. If playing Wentz, then pair with Michael Pittman to get leverage on the field on the Taylor plays. Aaron Rodgers ($7,400/$8,300) is always viable, especially if wanting to play Davante Adams.

Running Backs - DFS Lineup Picks

This is a slate where RB1 is pretty obvious, but have a few options for your RB2:

Jonathan Taylor,  RB - IND @ ARI (DK: $8,300, FD: $10,500)

As stated earlier, Arizona does not have a great run defense and Taylor is a beast. He has the highest upside out of all the running backs on the slate. He should be the most rostered player on the slate in my opinion. Arizona on average allows 112.8 rushing yards per game. Taylor has averaged 108.42 rushing yards per game on the season. In his last five games, he has rushed for 139.2 yards per game. Add in the mix the 19 touchdowns in 14 games played and it's a no-brainer to play Taylor here.

James Conner, RB - ARI vs. IND (DK: $6,000, FD: $7,100)

Outside of Taylor, James Conner, Nick Chubb, and Aaron Jones are priced pretty closely and project very similarly. When that's the case, I just go with the cheapest player and in that case, it's Conner. Indianapolis does have the second-worst run defense in the slate (No. 14) for what that's worth. Conner is hurt but did practice on Thursday, so monitor the situation. Chase Edmonds would pick up much of the slack from Conner if he cannot play, however, Chubb or Jones are probably better plays.

Also consider: Nick Chubb (CLE @ GB) $7,200/$7,600, Aaron Jones (GB vs. CLE) $6,800/$7,300, Chase Edmonds (if Conner is out) $4,700/$5,800.

Wide Receivers - DFS Lineup Picks

Davante Adams, WR - GB vs. CLE (DK: $8,700, FD: $8,800)

Similar to Taylor with running back, Adams is the clear-cut top play at wide receiver on this slate. The biggest challenge will be whether you can build a viable lineup with both Adams and Taylor in it. Adams has 46.08% of all the wide receiver targets in Green Bay.

Christian Kirk, WR - ARI vs IND (DK: $5,400, FD: $7,200)

Kirk receives 26.97% of the wide receiver targets in Arizona and the Indianapolis'  pass defense is No. 15, so the opportunity relative to other receivers on the slate is there. Last week Kirk had nine receptions on 12 targets for 94 yards and 1 touchdown and will be looking to have another productive outing this week. He is a better play on DraftKings than FanDuel and unless pairing with Kyler Murray, I could justify a fade over there.

Michael Pittman Jr., WR - IND @ ARI (DK: $5,000, FD: $6,400)

Probably the best value on the slate on both sites going against a good pass defense on a team that will likely run the ball a lot. He hasn't scored a touchdown since November 4th and had just one catch for seven yards last week. I am likely to play him in a GPP with Carson Wentz as mentioned earlier.

Also Consider: Rondale Moore (IND @ ARI - if healthy) $4,500/$5,100, Jarvis Landry (CLE @ GB) $5,100/$6,600 - CASH, A.J. Green $4,900/$5,900.

Tight Ends - DFS Lineup Picks

Zach Ertz,  TE - ARI vs IND (DK: $4,800, FD: $5,800)

Ertz is the only "big" tight end on the slate. I recommend you either pay up for Ertz or punt to the cheapest tight end on the slate that is playing. If considering an Arizona stack, I would rather stack Murray with Ertz and Kirk rather than do Murray with Kirk and Green or something like that. With people likely wanting to spend up on Taylor and Adams, I think most will look at tight end for salary savings, so it's a way to be different from the field. If you cannot afford Ertz, just get the cheapest tight end playing and hope they score a touchdown.
