BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 17% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I know what you're thinking: how the hell am I going to add a wideout who plays for a quarterback that finished his last two games with a combined 5.8 FP!? And there would be nothing wrong with that statement because that is simply what Matt Ryan has done in the W10-W11 pair of games. Ugh. It sucked to watch, and it's now been back-to-back outings without throwing a touchdown, but there is no way that stays the same for long as Ryan should bounce back and positively regress as soon as next weekend.
Russell Gage will definitely benefit from that. Gage, mind you, isn't an otherworldly player or one even remotely close to it. But he's good for those in the deepest of leagues out there hurting for options or wanting to add some depth to their squads. It's been a bouncy as hell season for Gage, but he keeps playing more than 65% of the team's offensive snaps and he's been on the field for 74% or more of them in two of the past three games played by Altanta.
Gage has put up three top-32 finishes (two of them top-20) and has three games of 9.9+ PPR points. Gage is a machine at catching the rock, so his value is higher in PPR leagues. Every time Gage has been targeted 6+ times (four games) he's caught 4+ of those passes, racked up 28+ yards, and once did he score a touchdown. He has enough to reach 13+ PPR points here and there ROS, but it depends on Ryan getting things right once for all and avoiding stinkers such as those coming his way in the past couple of games.
