BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: This Sunday marked Logan Thomas' second game after his Week 4 injury just five snaps into that game. Thomas, of course, finished last season as a top-3 tight end and the 85th-best player overall in PPR leagues. No joke, is what I mean. He was able to put up three consecutive top-13 finishes to kick 2021 off, but then the injury removed him from the field until W12 when he came back to a 6.1-PPR outcome. He more than doubled that score last Sunday with 13.8 PPR points... only to leave the game injured and most probably done for the year. The beneficiary? Under-the-radar TE Ricky Seals-Jones, obviously.
Ricky came out of left field to back Thomas up and had himself three consecutive top-14 finishes at the position in the W5-W7 span. Seals-Jones finished three games as a top-14 tight end at the very least scoring 9.1, 15.8, and 11.1 PPR points in his best three games from W5 to W7. He got 6+ targets in all three games, caught at least 4 passes in each of those, reached 41+ yards in all of them, and he even scored a touchdown (his second of the season after the one he caught in Week 2) back in Week 6.
Yes, RSJ put up a 3.2-PPR dud in W8 and then got injured in W10 never featuring in a game since then. But he could be back as soon as next weekend, and if that is the case you better be adding him to your squad and starting him at the TE position if you were relying on Logan Thomas before. Must-have player ROS with chances of Thomas missing more than a game and the fantasy playoffs just around the corner.
