Ray Davis is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis finally had a great standalone performance in Week 10. Despite Bills lead back James Cook entering the game healthy and not exiting due to injury, Davis scored 17 PPR fantasy points on the day, mainly due to a 63-yard touchdown catch he hauled in.
Ray Davis stats last 4 games:
35 car, 187 rush yards, 5.34 YPC, 1 rush TD

It's interesting that Cook's snaps over the last three contests have been 53%, 55%, and 55%. He's still handling the majority of the workload, though. Davis has a similar role to that of the Atlanta Falcons' running back, Tyler Allgeier. The lead back of both these teams gets the majority of the touches in close games, but the backup will get more work in blowouts.
It's likely to stay this way. No one can average 35 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per catch in the league, so fantasy managers should expect Davis' production to return to normal in close games. While he's made a case for more touches with his performance, Cook is still an excellent running back, and changes in their workloads aren't imminent.
