Chris Taylor Exits Early on Wednesday
Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor (hamstring) left Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs due to tightness in his left hamstring. The early exit was likely just precautionary, but he's expected to undergo further testing. Hopefully Taylor is not forced onto the disabled list. He should be owned in most leagues right now.

Mitch Haniger Has 11 RBI In Last 12 Games
Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger continues to produce in the heart of the Mariners lineup and leads the team with 54 runs batted in. He already has surpassed his career high in RBI after driving in 11 runs over his last 12 games played. He currently is hitting .282 with runners in scoring position, and […]

Houston Astros outfielder Josh Reddick is 9-for-26 (.346) over his last seven games played. All of his hits have been singles but he has taken his average up from .221 to .241 since June 10. The veteran outfielder's season hit a bump in the road after a bug bite on his leg became infected and […]

Wil Myers Could Return Over Weekend
San Diego Padres manager Andy Green said that outfielder Wil Myers (oblique) is close to returning and could rejoin the team over the weekend in San Francisco. Myers has been sidelined since April 29 with a strained left oblique and has only appeared in 10 major league games this season. He is currently on a […]

Carlos Tocci Starting, Delino DeShields Sitting Wednesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Tocci will start in center field for just the ninth time this season on Wednesday. Tocci has struggled in the major leagues in 2018 with a .077 batting average, and he has yet to record a single steal, home run, RBI or run scored. However, the Rangers need to get Delino […]

Joey Gallo Starting, Ronald Guzman Sitting Wednesday
Texas Rangers infielder/outfielder Joey Gallo will get the start at first base Wednesday. Gallo sat for Tuesday's game as the Rangers are looking for ways to get Adrian Beltre time as the designated hitter. Ronald Guzman is the man who misses out Wednesday, and it appears as though Guzman, Gallo, Rougned Odor and possibly Jurickson […]

Peter Bourjos Goes Deep In Loss To Jays
Atlanta Braves outfielder Peter Bourjos, who has largely been an afterthought in both fantasy and real life since joining the team in the spring, did something noteworthy on Wednesday, connecting for a solo homer for his first round-tripper of the year. He's still hitting below .200, so don't bother devoting any roster space for him.

Khris Davis Out on Wednesday With Stomach Virus
Updating a previous post, Oakland Athletics slugger Khris Davis is out of Wednesday's lineup with the flu. It originally looked like a regular rest day for the Athletics designated hitter, but the team said that Davis is dealing with a minor stomach bug. He is still available to pinch hit if the opportunity arises and […]

Derek Dietrich Out of Marlins Lineup Wednesday
With left-hander Derek Holland on the mound for the Giants, Miami Marlins outfielder Derek Dietrich is out of the lineup Wednesday. While Dietrich's season and career splits against lefties aren't terrible, the Marlins are opting to go instead with Cameron Maybin in left field. Dietrich has been one of the hot hitters on a last-place […]

Noel Cuevas Drills Two Doubles
Colorado Rockies outfielder Noel Cuevas got the start on Tuesday night and took advantage by popping a pair of doubles against the Mets. Cuevas has mostly been relegated to pinch-hit duty while getting a couple starts a week to give veterans some rest, but the limited usage has started to drag down his batting average. […]

Carlos Gonzalez Is On A Tear
Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is going streaking. Though he ended the back-to-back-to-back goodness on Tuesday by failing to be the fourth Rockies player in a row to hit a home run, he smacked a solo shot later in the game. Though his overall season numbers are still depressing, CarGo is in the middle of […]

Andrew McCutchen Sitting On Wednesday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Andrew McCutchen will rest Wednesday versus the Miami Marlins. It’s just a day of rest for the veteran, and he will be replaced by Hunter Pence, who will bat seventh. Pence has struggled and could be avoided in DFS on Wednesday.

Khris Davis Absent From Wednesday's Lineup
Oakland Athletics slugger Khris Davis is on the bench against the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Davis is dealing with a routine stomach virus but he is still available to pinch-hit if necessary. It just looks like a regular day off for Davis, as there is no designated hitter spot available in the National League ballpark. He […]

Leonys Martin Gets Three Hits, Drives In Two
Detroit Tigers outfielder Leonys Martin did everything he could to ignite the Tigers offense on Tuesday in Cincinnati, but it was all for naught as they fell to the Reds 9-5. Martin had three hits and two walks out of his usual leadoff spot and also drove in two of the Tigers five runs, all […]

Dominic Smith Makes First Career Outfield Start, Still Struggles
When New York Mets first baseman Dominic Smith struggled in his initial call to the big leagues near the end of 2017, many chalked it up to rookie nerves and looked past it. His short time in the Majors since being called up on June 12, however, is now leading many to believe Smith is simply […]

Kole Calhoun Homers, Could be Bounce-Back Candidate
Los Angeles Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks. Calhoun is now 3-for-7 with two runs and just one strikeout since returning from the DL with an oblique injury. He was horrendous before the injury (.145) but might be worth keeping an eye […]

Teoscar Hernandez Has 1.115 OPS Over Last 10 Games
Not much has gone right for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018, but outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has been one of the few bright spots.
