Rhys Hoskins' Late Heroics Go Unrewarded

Tuesday night’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals was an offensive chess match, as both clubs traded runs to take leads and erase deficits all throughout the game. In the eighth inning of the game with the Cardinals holding a two-run lead, the Phillies managed to put two runners on with two outs for sophomore outfielder Rhys Hoskins. The 25-year-old came up big in a pressure situation, drilling a double to deep right field. The blow would score both runners, tying the game. While it seemed to set up the Phillies for another big win, the bullpen would yet again blow the game.
