45 mins agoHouston Texans rookie wide receiver Tank Dell (leg) underwent surgery on Monday for the broken fibula he suffered in the Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos, and head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed that Dell will miss the rest of the season. It's a big blow to the Texans' offense, as Dell had become one of their top receivers after being taken in the third round earlier this year. The promising 24-year-old pass-catcher will finish his first NFL campaign with 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games played. He added 51 rushing yards on 11 carries. It's a bad ending to his first season, but Dell should maintain plenty of long-term fantasy value with quarterback C.J. Stroud in Houston. With Dell now out, Nico Collins, Noah Brown and veteran Robert Woods should see more targets as the Texans battle for a playoff spot.Source: FOX Sports - Ben Arthur
3 hours agoFree-agent linebacker Shaquille Leonard is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. The former Indianapolis Colts All-Pro was released by the team on Nov. 21, and Philadelphia, along with the Dallas Cowboys, became the top two potential suitors for his services. He ultimately chose to join an Eagles defense that has struggled at linebacker this season. Linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring) missed the Week 13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, so Leonard's arrival is coming at a great time for the defending NFC Champions.Source: Ari Meirov -- 33rd Team
3 hours agoHouston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods did not see a single target in the team's 22-17 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 13. The veteran pass-catcher played 32 snaps on Sunday but was not one of the eight Texans to see a pass come their way. However, with Tank Dell (leg) out for the season with a fractured left fibula, Woods is back on the fantasy radar in deep leagues. Nico Collins and Noah Brown have brighter fantasy outlooks, but Woods was still ahead of John Metchie III in total offensive snaps played last week. Unless that changes, Woods has low-end flex appeal in one of the best passing offenses in the NFL.Source: ESPN
4 hours agoLos Angeles Rams running back Royce Freeman rushed just one time for no yards and did not see a target in the Week 13 win over the Cleveland Browns. It was a disappointing development for fantasy managers who utilized him as a deep-league flex play. After his usage on Sunday, he can no longer be trusted in fantasy lineups. That said, he remains a bench stash in case Kyren Williams has to miss any time down the stretch. Darrell Henderson is on the team's practice squad, so Freeman looks to have beat him out. It's worth noting Ronnie Rivers (knee) could return from Injured Reserve soon.Source: ESPN
4 hours agoTennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (knee) is expected to miss a few weeks after suffering a knee injury in the Week 13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The two-time All-Pro's absence is a big loss for the Titans' defensive front, especially heading into a matchup with the explosive Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. Simmons posted 44 tackles and 5.5 sacks through his first 12 games of the 2023 campaign. In his absence, Titans' key pass-rushers Denico Autry, Harold Landry, and Arden Key will look to step up and generate pressure on Tua Tagovailoa in Week 14.Source: Turron Davenport
4 hours agoCincinnati Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (ankle) is being placed on Injured Reserve after suffering an ankle injury in practice leading up to the Week 13 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This means he will miss at least the next four games. With the Bengals potentially being out of playoff contention by Week 17, there's a chance his season is over. The 2022 second-round pick was having a solid season, racking up 46 tackles, one forced fumble, and four interceptions in 10 games. In his absence, Mike Hilton and DJ Turner will likely see more snaps.Source: Cameron Wolfe
4 hours agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (concussion/ribs) is in concussion protocol and is being evaluated for a rib injury after suffering a vicious hit in the loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The veteran signal-caller was also thought to have a shoulder injury, but it seems to be fine, according to a source. Carr suffered his second concussion in a month, so there's a good chance he misses the Week 14 game against the Carolina Panthers. Jameis Winston will start for New Orleans in that case. Taysom Hill could also see more work as a wildcat quarterback. The Panthers have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, so Winston is not set up to be a viable single-QB league streamer.Source: John Hendrix
5 hours agoUpdating a previous report, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel clarified on Monday that running back Derrick Henry (head) is not in the league's concussion protocol. It was reported earlier on Monday that Henry was in the protocols after suffering a head injury in the Week 13 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. It's good news for King Henry, but it's still concerning that he never returned to the game, and his status for Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins next Monday could be in question. The good news is the bruising running back had a highly productive game before his injury, rushing 21 times for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie Tyjae Spears had a season-high 16 carries for 75 yards against Indy and is deserving of a waiver-wire pickup this week, especially if you have Henry rostered.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
5 hours agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (ankle) underwent tightrope surgery on a high-ankle sprain on Monday and has been ruled out for the Week 14 game on Thursday night against the New England Patriots. The good news is he's week-to-week and will avoid Injured Reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games. Mitch Trubisky will make the start this Thursday, which is bad news for a Steelers offense that looked improved in their Week 12 win in the first game without offensive coordinator Matt Canada. The 29-year-old Trubisky, a former second overall pick in 2017 by the Chicago Bears, has plenty of experience but will be a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues for however long he's starting for Pittsburgh. He 11-for-17 for 117 yards and a touchdown in relief of Pickett in the 24-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
6 hours agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson was a popular streaming target for Week 13 action with six teams on bye. Fantasy managers that went that route came away pretty upset, though, as Johnson failed to haul in all three of his targets in the 33-28 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. His first target of the game on the team's first offensive possession clanked off his hands and to a Lions defender for an interception. It was an early sign of how Johnson's day was going to go. It was the 27-year-old's first zero-point day of the season. Johnson will have better days ahead, but he has failed to top 50 receiving yards in all eight of his games this year and has found the end zone just once (back in Week 9). At best, he'll be a touchdown-dependent TE2 in the Week 14 contest versus the Carolina Panthers.Source: ESPN.com

6 hours agoThe Washington Commanders offense really couldn't get anything going in the 45-15 shellacking by the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in Week 13. No Washington pass-catcher exceeded 65 yards on the day or found the end zone. Tight end Logan Thomas, meanwhile, couldn't secure his only target of the day to give fantasy managers that started him a bagel in the score column. It was his second straight disappointing game, as Thomas had only two catches for 15 yards in last week's blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. The Commanders will go back to the drawing board during their bye in Week 14, and Thomas will come out in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams hoping to be much more productive. Fantasy managers will find him hard to trust in that one as a high-end, touchdown-dependent TE2.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore's day in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers could have been much more fruitful, but he ended the 24-10 upset win with just a six-yard pickup on his only catch (two targets). Moore secured a long touchdown catch in the back of the end zone that was called back due to an offensive penalty and he did very little else on a day in which the Cardinals didn't need to throw the ball much after building an early lead and never being threatened by a Steelers offense that lost quarterback Kenny Pickett to an ankle injury early in the first half. He had a 48-yard touchdown catch (his first of the year) in Week 11 but has posted three catches for 41 yards in two games since. The 23-year-old hasn't gone over 50 yards receiving in a single game in 2023 and has a bad matchup in Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers after a bye in Week 14.Source: ESPN.com
