Calgary Flames defenseman Zayne Parekh (upper body) must spend some time on the sidelines after being hurt in Friday's 4-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. The defensive talent exited the action in the second period following a hit from Blackhawks forward Nick Foligno. After the game, Flames head coach Ryan Huska told reporters that Parekh will "miss a little bit of time." On Friday, Parekh replaced Kevin Bahl (undisclosed) in the lineup after serving as a healthy scratch in three of four contests. He hasn't been impactful this season, logging only one assist, 11 shots, five blocks, and five hits in 11 outings. Bahl was a game-time decision on Friday and does not appear to be dealing with a serious issue; he could return for Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Wild. If he isn't ready to return, the Flames will likely turn to Jake Bean.--Taavi Pailk
