Zach Wilson To Ramp Up Activities This Week
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) will see a slight ramp-up this week in practice, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Wilson will not play in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Saleh won't say definitively that Wilson will be ready to start in Week 4. However, the head coach said Wilson is "progressing well... looking good... so we'll see." The 23-year-old second-year QB had arthroscopic right knee surgery on Aug. 16, which has delayed his start to the 2022 season. Veteran Joe Flacco has gone over 300 yards passing in each of the first two games and led the Jets to an improbable comeback win over the Browns in Week 2, but he'll revert to backup duties once Wilson is 100% healthy. Wilson should only be stashed in two-QB leagues.
