With the status of New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (quadriceps) uncertain, it seems as though there’s at least a chance he’s playing in Monday’s series opener against the Cincinnati Reds. Cespedes left Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies due to a sore right quadriceps, but the team said it was for precautionary reasons. It doesn’t sound as if the injury is serious. Cespedes himself said it’s a much different injury than the previous ones that kept him out for long periods of time. Check back here for more updates on Cespedes.
