Xavier Worthy Leaves Practice on Tuesday with Head Injury
Xavier Worthy (head) "banged his head" and left the team's Tuesday practice early, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The severity of Worthy's injury is unclear, but he may be facing the NFL's concussion protocol before he can return to the practice field. As a rookie in 2024, Worthy played all 17 games for Kansas City and logged 59 catches for 638 yards and six touchdowns. The second-year speedster is expected to take on a significant role in the Chiefs' offense once again in 2025. Kansas City has some depth at wide receiver between Worthy, Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and rookie Jalen Royals. However, Rice may be facing an early-season suspension, and Brown is nursing an ankle injury.
