Xander Bogaerts Homers In Third Consecutive Game
5 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts finished 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Sunday's extra-inning loss to the Dodgers. The 26-year-old has homered in three-straight games for the first time in his career, and he's absolutely on fire in July. Bogaerts has now hit safely in 19 in of his last 21 games played, including his current six game hit streak. In just three post All-Star break games, he’s gone 6-for-12 with three homers and six runs batted in. Boston begins a four-game series with Toronto on Monday and Bogaerts should have no problems continuing this hot streak he is on, as the Blue Jays' pitching staff is below average at best.
