Willie Calhoun May Not Be Next In Line
Willie Calhoun may have been overtaken as the next outfield prospect to be called to the major leagues. The natural assumption has been that if Shin-Soo Choo or Joey Gallo got injured then Calhoun would be in the majors. However, there is now a chance that Scott Heineman may have overtaken him. Heineman has been productive at Triple-A this season, with a .303 batting average, nine home runs and 14 stolen bases. Heineman is at this point also the better defensive player and offers more opportunities as a pinch runner. It is now looking likely we will not see Willie Calhoun until rosters expand in September.
