Wade Miley Tosses Seven Strong Innings In No-Decision
Wade Miley allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out six and walking nine in seven innings for a no-decision against the Minnesota Twins in Tuesday's eventual 10-7 win. Both of the runs charged to Miley came on Ryan Jeffers' two-run blast in the fourth inning. The 34-year-old southpaw was in line for a win before Cincinnati's bullpen blew the game, so it's disappointing from a fantasy perspective, but at least he got you a quality start. Miley is now sitting on a very nice 2.85 ERA and 1.06 WHIP while striking out 62 and walking 19 in 75 2/3 innings on the season as a whole. He's not the hardest-throwing starter out there, but he continues to get it done for fantasy managers. Miley will take the mound again early next week against the Philadelphia Phillies.
