Tyler O'Neill Scratched With Knee Discomfort
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (knee) was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies due to left-knee discomfort. Richie Palacios is taking his spot in center field and will hit eighth in the order against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola. It's yet another injury for the oft-injured O'Neill, but for now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. It's been another disappointing campaign in 2023 for the 28-year-old Canadian. He's played in only 59 games due to injuries and is currently hitting .240 (46-for-192) with seven home runs, 12 doubles, 16 RBI, three stolen bases and 23 runs scored. Since returning from a lengthy stay on the injured list on July 20, O'Neill has gone 25-for-100 (.250) with five homers, eight doubles, 10 RBI, two steals and 11 runs scored in 30 games (26 starts).
