St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill will not be activated for Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. O'Neill seemed to be on track for a Friday return but was hit by a pitch Wednesday during his rehab assignment and has a left wrist contusion. Fortunately, the wrist isn't fractured, and it doesn't sound like this will set his timeline back much. The 27-year-old five-category contributor had been heating up before his injury, with a .354/.385/.521 slash line in June to go along with two homers and three steals. He will be re-evaluated over the weekend and an update on his timeline should come soon after.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
