Tyler Glasnow Out 6-8 Weeks With Oblique Strain
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow's (oblique) MRI exam showed a Grade 2 left oblique strain, and his timeline to return to game action is being set at six to eight weeks. The Rays previously said that Glasnow wouldn't be ready for the start of the 2023 season, and now we know exactly why. The oft-injured 29-year-old right-hander's fantasy value now takes a pretty significant hit to open the year, especially since oblique injuries can be very tricky to come back from for pitchers. Fantasy managers should expect Glasnow to miss at least the first month of the season, if not more, depending on how his rehab goes and whether he suffers any setbacks along the way. Glasnow has fantasy ace potential when healthy, the problem is that he seems to always be dealing with some sort of injury.
