Troy Franklin 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Small Wideout Merely Battling for Depth Role in Denver
Bo Nix and Troy Franklin in last year's draft, but their experience working together in college didn't translate to their rookie seasons in 2024, with Franklin catching just 28 of his 53 targets for 263 yards and two touchdowns in 16 regular-season games (six starts). The 22-year-old reportedly has added some weight and looks more explosive going into his sophomore campaign, but his wiry frame (6-foot-2, 176) continues to be a cause for concern, as does his standing down the pecking order in Denver's receiver room. Franklin will be competing with Marvin Mims Jr., Devaughn Vele and rookie Pat Bryant for targets behind WR1 Courtland Sutton and new tight end Evan Engram. He had a 50% snap share just twice in 2024 and an ugly 52.8% catch rate, which was disappointing considering his chemistry with Nix. The former fourth-rounder doesn't figure to be on the field very often in 2025, and RotoBaller has Franklin ranked outside of the top 100 receivers.
