Trevor Rogers 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Useful Arm Even if Regression is Coming
Trevor Rogers enjoyed a tremendous 2025, going 9-3 with a 1.81 ERA in 109 ⅔ innings pitched. His 3.39 xERA and 3.64 xFIP weren't quite as strong, but still represent fantasy assets. Regression is inevitable, but it doesn't mean Rogers will struggle in 2025. Rogers gained fastball velocity last season, averaging 93.1 mph after just 91.9 mph in 2024. The offering's SwStr% increased from 9.6 percent to 12.2 percent, and Rogers gained the confidence to throw it for strikes much more often (54.1 Zone% in 2024, 68.3 percent last year). His sinker (56.3 percent to 61.4), changeup (38.3 percent to 46.3), and slider (42.9 percent to 47.6) also saw significant Zone% improvements year over year, while his change (12.4 percent to 14.3) and slider (8.9 percent to 17.6) saw SwStr% improvements. The Orioles should be better than they were in 2025, making Rogers a solid mid-rotation arm even if he won't repeat last year's ERA. His 166.79 ADP assumes more regression than his profile supports.
