Trea Turner Could Hit Third In Lineup
Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner is an option to hit third in the batting order now that Anthony Rendon is with the Angels. "We'll see. I talked to Davey briefly about it. I thought it was kind of a joke for the last month or so. But now I guess it's somewhat serious," Turner said. The 26-year-old middle infielder is a rising star and hit .298/.353/.497 with 19 home runs, 96 runs, 57 RBI and 35 stolen bases in 521 at-bats in 2019 on the way to a World Series championship. He's hit exactly 19 homers each of the last two years and has swiped 78 bags in that time as well. A move to the three-hole will likely mean less runs scored and probably fewer steals, but more RBI opportunities. Turner is a late first-round option at the 6 in fantasy drafts.
