Tommy La Stella Slugging .744 Over Last 15 Games
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Tommy La Stella smacked two home runs in the Angels 8-6 triumph over the Mariners on Sunday. La Stella has played only 21 games this season but already has a career-high in home runs with six heading into the final week of April. It is the first time in his career that he is seeing everyday at-bats and he is slugging .744 over his last 15 games played. La Stella was a top-notch pinch-hitter last season for the Chicago Cubs and his ceiling is currently hard to project now with a bigger role on the team. The good news for fantasy owners is that La Stella's numbers are on track to improve even more moving forward, especially if his current .170 BABIP reverts closer to league averages. The 30-year-old could be an intriguing play over the next few weeks but only in AL-only leagues and deeper formats at the second base position.
