Titans Restructure Ryan Tannehill's Contract
4 years agoThe Tennessee Titans are doing a simple restructure of quarterback Ryan Tannehill's contract for the 2021 season to facilitate the completion of the trade for wide receiver Julio Jones to create more than $15 million in salary cap space, according to a source. Jones will make $15.3 million guaranteed this year. The addition of the perennial Pro Bowler in Jones, in addition to having A.J. Brown, makes Tannehill more attractive from a fantasy perspective as a QB1. Tennessee's offense will still have a ground-heavy approach with Derrick Henry in the fold, but Tannehill's ceiling just became a lot more intriguing. If you decide to wait on the position in the early rounds, Tannehill isn't a bad consolation prize as a low-end QB1 this year.
