Tim Anderson Resting In Series Finale
1 year agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will take a seat on Sunday in the series finale against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. Elvis Andrus will take over starting shortstop duties and will hit leadoff against Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. Not much at all has gone right for Anderson in 2023 after he made consecutive All-Star appearances in 2021 and 2022. The 30-year-old has been one of the biggest busts in all of baseball this year. He's currently hitting .240 (88-for-367) with just one home run, 12 doubles, a triple, 21 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 38 runs scored in 393 trips to the plate over 91 games. However, he's been better so far in the second half, hitting .290 (27-for-93) with a homer, three doubles, eight RBI, two steals and nine runs scored in 24 starts since the All-Star break.
