Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson seemed to be hitting a bit of a cold spell after his big return from injury, but over the last two days he’s doing his best to show us he’s waking up. After hitting a double on Wednesday, Donaldson had a three-hit night with another double in a loss to the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. It was Donaldson’s first three-hit outing since his first game back on May 3. You never should have worried about Donaldson to begin with; he had a slow return from injury in 2017 as well before going on an absolute tear the rest of the year. Currently slashing .241/.326/.494 with five home runs, 15 runs scored, and 13 RBI, Donaldson is a good bet to go on a big hot streak at some point very soon.--John Smith
