3 years agoThe Houston Texans claimed running back Royce Freeman off waivers from the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday. Freeman will join a running back picture in Houston that includes David Johnson, Phillip Lindsay, Rex Burkhead and Scottie Phillips, so there's a good chance he'll remain on the team's practice squad for now as additional depth. Freeman was let go in Carolina with Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) returning from Injured Reserve to play in Week 9. The 25-year-old had 21 carries for 77 yards and caught three of six targets for an additional 15 yards in his eight games with the Panthers. The Texans backfield, and offense in general, is one of the most uninspiring from a fantasy perspective in all of football.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
